There I am, in the middle at the back, wearing my favourite shirt. My teacher is in front of me in black, but the Master of this group is called Mr Lim, standing in front with an ’86’ on his shirt. On this Tai Chi journey, taken in Penang in 2005, I began to learn the secret of Tai Chi. Professor Cheng Man Ching was the teacher of Mr Lim, and told him ‘There is only one secret to Tai Chi, and that is the mind.‘ The key to unlock this secret? Can you guess? Here’s a clue: in the upcoming Tai Chi refresher, just over ten days away, I’m going to send you a recording after each class so you can practice, as long as you go for the full course. This means that if you miss a class, or have other commitments making you turn up late, or anything else that could interfere with your concentration, it no longer matters, because you will have private access to the class, its repetitions and focuses, so that you can study in your own time. What could be better? The full course is £77 and runs for seven Wednesdays, starting on Wednesday 19th January, 6pm to 7.30pm. You can join for £12 a session of course, but without the follow-up.
